So if you're talking about LFR, normal, or heroic, you pretty much always find groups exclusively ingame, either through the raid finder tab (for LFR) or the premade groups tab (for normal/heroic) of the I menu (I think it's called dungeon finder but I is the default keybind). In practice, this means you can only do Mythic with a guild unless you're on a very populated server with an active pug population. You need a fixed 20man group for Mythic (LFR auto-fills to 25 and Normal and Heroic work with anything from 10-30) and unlike the other difficulties, you can't join groups cross-server. Obviously rewards are better than LFR the higher you go up in difficulty. For normal raids this could be very low to nonexistent, and for heroic raids it's probably going to be pretty restrictive.
This means that you'll have to be manually accepted into the group, so you'll have to meet whatever requirements the person running the group chooses to set.
These don't have matchmaking, so you have to use the "Premade Groups" section of the group finder where people can manually list their groups with a title and description. The rewards are pretty good compared to normal and heroic dungeons, but it can get very boring because the difficulty is so low. Many people will borderline or even outright afk during fights, and it only really takes a few people who know what they're doing to carry the group through the bosses. This is matchmade through the blizzard UI, requires very little in the way of gear, and is tuned to be "tourist mode". How do i find people for raids?
